Triple Crown Race at UPIR on July 31, 2010

The second race of the Triple Crown Racing Series will be held at the Upper Peninsula International Raceway at the Escanaba Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM EST and the grandstand opens at 4:00 PM EST.

A Driver Meet & Greet will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in front of the grandstand. Checkered Flags will be passed out to the first 500 children who can have drivers autograph them. Racing begins at 7:00 PM featuring Small Cars (4/6 Cylinders), Micro Sprints, Junior Mini Sprints & Tough Trucks.

Concessions will be available under the grandstand & in the pits. Local band Rock, Stock & Loaded will provide post race entertainment.

The final race of the Triple Crown Series will be on Saturday, August 21, 2010 during the fair at 1:00 PM EST.

Grandstand admission is $5.00. Pit admission is $10.00 and $10.00 per race vehicle.

Rules & entry forms are available online at www.deltami.org. Click on the UPIR Logo. Preregistering will save $5.00 and can be submitted to the Delta County Chamber of Commerce. Race organizers anticipate an increase in racers and improvements have enhanced the clay track.
